Almost Had to Add “Peacock Replacement” to the Budget

We’d put it under the column, “Banjo,” of course.

What happened was we were walking in the formal gardens at historic Schell Brewery when we surprised a peacock. Banjo thought it would be quite a mouthful; she wanted at least a try at it.

That was after this morning’s close call with a flock of turkeys in the campground.

And last night’s mystery rodent Banjo caught while walking on leash.

If you count the pigs in our traditional bar-top game we played at the brewery, then we’ve had plenty of farm animals here in New Ulm, MN.

A Balm for Tech Headaches

When we set off in March, I put Pass the Pigs in the glove compartment, ready for all our brewery stops. As if.

But today, after yet another wasted hunk of life dealing with my now fully broken iPhone, we enjoyed beers outside in that garden I mentioned. Reservations only, masks on when not drinking, very good beer.

Guess where we have reservations again tomorrow.

  1. Lookin’ good! Love reading your posts.
How the heck did Banjo catch said rodent on a leash? Have a great weekend.

    1. I’m so glad we’re keeping in touch this way, Sooz! Banjo is like a coyote – she waits then springs on the poor critter with her front paws. It would be amusing if it didn’t result in death!

  2. How the heck did Banjo surprise a peacock and get away clean? – no mention of injury to either of them, yay! Peafowl make excellent property guardians and typically attack before they ask questions. Wishes for a beautiful weekend 🙂

    1. I didn’t know that! We were actually far away from it with a van between us. You have a good weekend too – we miss the trivia team!

        1. I have a new iPad with unlimited cell connection, so our chances of being able to join have risen significantly.
