In Anticipation of the Day After

It’s election night as a type, and I’m thinking about anything else, frankly. I just realized, for example, that on Friday, my weekly email goes out, and the only post I have up is that silly one with links to myself in “the news.” I don’t think I’ve ever been at a loss for blog posts like I am now.

It’s partly because this whole week has been spent at doctors’ appointments, so much that we haven’t been able to leave Houston yet. Sound familiar? I’m not keen on writing, anyway, what with democracy about to be obliterated.

So, may I present the few photos I’ve taken at our campground at Cagle Recreation Area, in Sam Houston National Forest.

Giant pines and sycamores are thick here, with Spanish moss hanging down almost to meet the palmettos on the forest floor.

Banjo and Tracy and I say, good night, and take care out there.

    1. It wasn’t so bad. Glad to be going to the Gulf Coast today, though! Hope you’re in a pet place, too.

    1. Hey, I know the distance looks bleak out there, but it hasn’t happened yet, and we need to keep a little hope so we can have the energy to resist when we need to.
