It’s election night as a type, and I’m thinking about anything else, frankly. I just realized, for example, that on Friday, my weekly email goes out, and the only post I have up is that silly one with links to myself in “the news.” I don’t think I’ve ever been at a loss for blog posts like I am now.
It’s partly because this whole week has been spent at doctors’ appointments, so much that we haven’t been able to leave Houston yet. Sound familiar? I’m not keen on writing, anyway, what with democracy about to be obliterated.
So, may I present the few photos I’ve taken at our campground at Cagle Recreation Area, in Sam Houston National Forest.
Giant pines and sycamores are thick here, with Spanish moss hanging down almost to meet the palmettos on the forest floor.
Banjo and Tracy and I say, good night, and take care out there.
Enjoy those lovely views, if you can.
Not much else to enjoy today…
ARG glad I wrote something last night so I don’t have to think about it today.
Looks like a great place to be.
It wasn’t so bad. Glad to be going to the Gulf Coast today, though! Hope you’re in a pet place, too.
Reading posts like these days later is jarring. Reminds me that I once had hope.
Hey, I know the distance looks bleak out there, but it hasn’t happened yet, and we need to keep a little hope so we can have the energy to resist when we need to.
Catching up on this post result brings a wave of sadness… Lovely photos
I get those waves of sadness and despair, too.
